Kamakura is one of the oldest Japanese towns. Its area is almost 40 km2. The city is almost completely surrounded by mountains, acting its rather peculiar defenders. However, it is washed by the South Sagami Bay. This part of the Earth recognized the perfect place to relax. A mild climate and both in winter and summer the city is open to tourists.
Among the attractions it should be marked the famous Amanava Simmey temple, which was built as early as the year 710. It is linked with it the lion’s share of the rich history of the events of the past Kamakura. There are in the city other temples, for example Engaku-dei. It is one of the most famous temples of school Zen that’s why is one of the best.
