Football Club of the UAE, “Al Wasl” dismissed the Argentinian Diego Maradona

The Football Club of the UAE, “Al Wasl” dismissed the Argentinian Diego Maradona from his post   as a  head coach. According to Reuters, the decision was taken on Tuesday, July 10, at a meeting of the board of the club. The reason for dismissal of Maradona was the fact that for the last season “Al Wasl” not only failed to win any awards, but dropped to eighth place from sixth in the league of the United Arab Emirates (there are 12 clubs).   Thus, a two-year contract that Maradona signed with “Al Wasl” in May 2011, broken prematurely.
